Isaiah 61:1-3

1 The ^aSpirit of the Lord ^{▼▼ Heb YHWH, usually rendered Lord}God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To ^cbring good news to the ^{▼▼ Or humble
,} ^eafflicted;
He has sent me to ^fbind up the brokenhearted,
To ^gproclaim liberty to captives
And ^{▼▼ Lit opening to those who are bound}freedom to prisoners;
2 To ⁱproclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the ^jday of vengeance of our God;
To ^kcomfort all who mourn,
3 To ^lgrant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The ^moil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called ^{▼▼ Or terebinths
,} ^ooaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
